Abrasive files

Abrasive files (also abrasive sticks, sanding sticks) are mainly used in tool and die making to grind cutting tools, fixtures, precision tools made of carbide as well as hardened and unhardened steel by hand. The abrasive files can be used both dry and wet with water or oil. For a longer service life and a better grinding effect we recommend the use with water or oil.

Our Silifix® abrasive files to grind carbide and hardened steel are made of high-quality silicon carbide and grind particularly quickly.

In addition to Silifix® silicon carbide abrasive files, we also manufacture corundum abrasive files to grind steel. Both have a high stability and are ground straight and smooth on all sides during manufacturing.

We analyse your grinding tools – free of charge!

At your request, we examine your existing grinding tools free of charge using three different measuring methods: modulus of elasticity (Young’s modulus), Zeiss-Mackensen method and HZ-Rockwell. With the results of the analysis, we are able to make statements about the suitability of the grinding tools for your grinding process and optimize their composition.
